About Us

High Performance Lubricants is not your typical oil company. We pride ourselves on producing the highest quality products to protect your fleet’s vehicles or plant’s rotating equipment. Many oil companies choose to add a lot of fluff to their marketing campaign rather than focusing on producing a better product.

When making a lubricant it’s all about choices. Although there are only a few base oil suppliers and only slightly more additive suppliers to choose from there are various quality levels of products available. High Performance Lubricants chooses the best base oils combined with the highest quality additives for our products. The end result is a significant improvement in our oils life and wear reduction compared to others. These differences can easily be verified by oil analysis.

dart

Richard Maskin founded Dart in 1981 in a two-car garage in Oak Park, Michigan. In the years since Maskin started his business with a desk and a telephone, Dart has become the proven leader in aftermarket cylinder heads, intake manifolds and engine blocks.
Maskin is well known to drag racing fans as a mechanical mastermind whose engines have won multiple NHRA Pro Stock world championships and dozens of national events. Like many successful entrepreneurs, Maskin turned his passion for drag racing into a thriving enterprise.
The company has expanded its product line to include aluminum and cast-iron engine blocks that are designed to meet the specialized needs of racers and performance enthusiasts. Dart components are developed in-house, manufactured on Dart’s own CNC machining centers, and tested on Dart’s computer-controlled engine dyno.
Maskin keeps current with the continuous advances in racing technology through Dart’s in-house engine program. Dart also supports the sport as an NHRA and IHRA Major Sponsor.
“Our engine program and our daily interaction with leading engine builders and winning racers keeps Dart on the leading edge of technology,” Maskin explains. “We apply everything we learn to produce more powerful and more reliable parts for Dart customers.”
Dart Machinery’s Technology Center in Troy, Mich., houses the company’s administrative offices, the R&D headquarters, and inspection, machining and warehouse operations. The immense CNC machining centers that produce Dart heads and blocks from raw castings are located in a separate manufacturing facility in nearby Melvindale.Richard Maskin founded Dart in 1981 in a two-car garage in Oak Park, Michigan. BOB CURRAN, Owner/Driver - "Sponge Bob" began his NMCA EZ Street racing career in 2001 with a rough start when he left the line in 3rd gear at the NMCA opener in Moroso. He quickly learned from his mistakes and by July he was kicking ass and taking names in front of the hometown crowd in Joliet capturing his first #1 qualifying spot and walking away with the mph record. Bob ended up finishing 5th overall and was determined to put the #1 on his windshield in 2002. That's exactly what he did. In an uphill battle of Chevy versus Ford, Bob banged heads with Phil Hines' Mustang all season eventually claiming the championship. He's now looking forward to the move to Limited Street.
